Try this alternative to canned cranberry sauce, which uses our own Roselle. It’s more like a chutney and is bursting with flavor and texture.
One 8 oz jar of Roselle Jelly
1 Orange, membranes removed and chopped into small pieces
Zest of the orange (avoid the white part)
1 apple (Braeburn, Granny Smith, Pink Lady – go for tart and crisp), diced
1/2 cup Chopped pecans or walnuts
Optional: chopped candied ginger or fresh grated ginger (1-2 tsp)
*You can also use two tangerines or a grapefruit instead of an orange
Combine all ingredients and mix well. May be made ahead and chilled before serving.
