Ingredients
3 whole cloves
1 apple
3 fresh figs
Directions
- In a small saucepan, bring 1/2 cup water and cloves to boil.
- Add apple (cut into slices) and figs (cut into thirds)
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Drain, discard the cloves, and serve warm.
This dish also makes a great topping for oatmeal or baked in a pie. Apple and figs are often associated with remedies for fatigue and bloating.
