We’re going to go ahead and blame a pandemic on abandoning our blog earlier this year. It was all we could do to keep up with shut-downs, constantly changing logistics, and keeping up with the usual Spring time hustle to bring in the harvest.
The good news is that we have survived, and are ready to revive the blog as a source for tasty recipes, stories from the farm, and useful information about organic farming and reforming our food system.
Welcome to Jinnie Son, a friend, CSA member and amazing chef.
“Hi there! I’m Jinnie.

I am the new writer for the food blog at Frog Song Organics. I’m not classically trained but I learned from the best, my mom. I grew up cooking authentic Korean food with my mom in our small NYC apartment at a young age and continued that training when she owned a Korean Restaurant in the Boston Area in the 90s. As a Korean-American, I’ve always been passionate about cooking Korean food and introducing it to everyone I come across. I am proud of the rich history and culture of my parents’ homeland.
I am a New Yorker at heart but have been living in Orlando for the past 6 years, with my cat Marz. My all-time favorite comfort food is kimchi jigae, a hearty stew made from fermented spicy napa cabbage, it is perfect on a chilly day!
Common misconceptions may be that Korean food is too hard to cook or that the ingredients are too hard to find. I hope I can squash that myth and be able to show you how easy it can be to make Korean food in your own home. Most ingredients can be found at your local grocery store and if not, most items can be found online. All my recipes are simple, easy, and of course, it will highlight the robust variety of Frog Song Organic’s produce.
On this blog, I will be sharing fresh, flavorful, and (mostly) healthy Korean themed recipes. All the recipes I share will be foods I eat in my everyday. If I won’t eat it, I won’t share it because my recipes represent me and I’m kind of awesome! My goal is to inspire you to try something new and out of the box. You never know, the next dish you make has the potential to be one of your favorites!
