We are excited to announce that memberships are now available and registration is open for the upcoming CSA season. We hope you will join today so you can receive delicious, certified organic veggies from our farm. Read on for more information on how to join and save $10!
We are also very happy to share that we just purchased fifty-seven acres of land next to our original six-acre farm! We would like to thank all of our farmers market and restaurant customers, and CSA members for your support in making this possible. We could not have grown our farm this quickly without community support. Based on what we have been able to accomplish in the last three years, we were able to work with the USDA Farm Service Agency and Farm Credit to secure financing for this land. We now have a lot of work ahead of us to plant cover crops, build soil, put up fencing, install irrigation and start producing crops. Your CSA membership will help us with the financial resources to grow the farm.
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a partnership between people and the farmers that feed them. At Frog Song Organics, CSA members make a financial or work commitment to the farm, and together we produce high quality produce grown in an ecologically and socially responsible manner. CSA membership helps you experience the seasons through food, eat more organic vegetables, support local business & jobs, and form a more direct connection with the people who grow your food.
We offer several pick up locations in Alachua County, St. Augustine and Orlando. It’s a great way to encourage healthy eating, save time and reduce carbon emissions and food miles.
We have several options for you to choose when, how often, and how much produce you receive. We are now offering both weekly and bi-weekly distributions of produce. Please visit our CSA blog for more details.
Members join and pay at the beginning of the season, and we deliver for the season according to our agreed upon schedule. Each week we select the items that go in the box according to what is abundant on the farm and in season.
We have a special sign up coupon for everyone on our contact list – join on or before July 4 and save $10 with the code FREEDOMTOFARM.
We also provide an email newsletter each week identifying the vegetables and providing recipes on how to use them. You can see pictures of a typical individual share in this newsletter. More photos of the farm are available on facebook, and you can also learn more by visiting our CSA blog.
