We hope that everybody who came out to our farm tour on Sunday had a great time. We thank all our customers for making the drive and being part of Frog Song’s 7th birthday celebration. We had awesome hay rides, visits to all the groups of animals, hibiscus U-pick, and of course, lots of tasty produce from the farm. This week we’ll be working on digging lots of root crops (sweet potatoes, sunchokes, turnips, radishes) as well as planting lots of greens (cabbages, kales, lettuces) and cover crops (ryegrass, rye, and oats). Wish us luck as we’ll likely see two frontal passages, each of which can wash a fresh planting into the ditches (as happened to the third planting of our carrots last week). Thank you all for your support as we go into the middle of November, hopefully onto many more weeks of fall abundance. -Farmer John
