Hi Frog Song friends, I just wanted to introduce myself! My name is Amy Jane Erzen. Some of you may recognize me from operating the St. Augustine Market this past year, or Winter Park Market a couple years ago. I’m excited to share with you all that I’ll now be taking care of all things CSA!
Aptly named “farmer’s choice box,” by being part of our CSA, you’ll get an idea of what the people who grow your food are eating on a weekly basis. We eat what’s fresh and abundant. If you need some inspiration in the kitchen, I’ll be sharing recipes that feature the items in your box!
My love for home-grown food was inspired by my dad, who always has a beautiful garden in our backyard in (the few summer months of) Ohio. Anyone who grows their own tomatoes knows there’s nothing better than one right off the vine. The tastiest and most nutritious food is fresh food! I’ve worked on family farms for the past five years, so I was immediately drawn to Frog Song when I saw their beautiful and diverse stand at the Winter Garden Market; I’m always sniffing out local and organic veggies when I move to a new area. Please know the meaningful significance of eating locally. Not only are you supporting the local economy and the farmers you know by name, the planet desperately needs more natural, chemical-free, and sustainable food systems. We, and mother earth, appreciate your contribution!
I hope we offer peace of mind knowing where your food is coming from; that it was grown, harvested and handled with love, and that we do not take lightly the responsibility of providing quality, wholesome food for your health.
I’m grateful to be part of this team and look forward to meeting you! 🙂
