An El Nino fall season means lots of waves of cold continental air interacting with warm and humid gulf air. Today we’re watching the arrival of another strong front rolling through the Suwannee River Valley up to the top of the hill at Frog Song. We’ve engineered our fields to the best of our ability to keep water from ponding or sitting too long in one spot. Hopefully the hard work in previous seasons will keep the last of our sweet potatoes above the water line and help our strawberry plants thrive into the new year. As we approach the shortest days of the year we watch the season change the landscape and crops at the farm. We look forward to watching the thousands of transplants we’ll put in the ground this week grow and make it to your tables this spring! -Farmer John
